My students are from families that struggle to provide for daily needs and do not have the resources to provide additional learning tools. Our school has a high poverty rate. Many students are on free or reduced lunch. Our district provides free breakfast daily and a community food pantry provides meals for the students to take home on weekends. I have some materials that I have purchased for the classroom but I have two classes for reading which stretches the materials thin.
