I adore this class of 26 kindergarten students! They are energetic, curious, and confident. I love how responsive they are to one another's needs. We begin each day with a morning meeting as one way to build community. They enjoy this time of sharing and listening. It sets the stage for a day of cooperating with one another and listening to one another. Our school values are kindness, integrity, diversity, community, and knowledge, anti-racism, and inclusiveness. We incorporate these values in conversation throughout the day. I think if my class could add a value to the list, it would be laughter. We love to share a good joke or a funny story together! Our school has rigorous standards and a culture of partnership between staff and families. I am grateful for families who are supportive and work so hard for their children. They make our school what it is.
