I have a class of 20 adventurous third grade students who are wanting the privilege of utilizing and exploring more technology on a daily basis. Our school is located in southwest Missouri with a population of about 2,500. The school is limited in funding for Chromebooks. My class shares a set of Chromebooks with other classrooms limiting our access to them on a daily basis. When given the opportunity to use technology, my students become excited, engaged, and their creativity is limitless. They do not rely solely on the Chromebooks, but use them as a tool to enhance their knowledge and to take ownership of their learning.
