I am the science and math teacher in an alternative middle school. I also teach reading, electives, life skills, and anything else my students need. My students have multiple issues that prevent them from being successful in a general educational environment. Many of them have short attention spans and suffer from the aftermath of trauma. They benefit from hands-on activities. With tight budgets and the need for extra staff to help these students be safe, there are limited funds available to obtain the type of supplies and technology that will help them become more engaged in learning. My projects are designed to turn my classroom into a real alternative learning environment. These supplies will help my students function in school and learn across the curriculum. I love both the arts and science and want to foster a love for learning in my students. Thanks for your interest and help!
