My students are from different backgrounds and social statuses. Our school is heavily populated for its size and 91% of our students are on free or reduced lunch due to income. My students are very curious about technology and how it will affect them when they grow up. They know what the latest technologies are but, many of them are not shown how to use technology in an educational or positive manner. Many people use technology to negatively hurt society. Imagine if we can reduce future problems by demonstrating to our students today that they can use technology for the good of mankind and improve society. We are helping build a good relationship with technology which students will come in contact with everyday. This improves their problem solving skills which helps them in other parts of their education. It contributes to other academic areas like math and reading by building stamina and patience.
