Thank you for taking the time to stop by our page! My name is Mrs. Purdue and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Chicopee Woods Elementary. We are a close knit group that works like family to support each other in our school setting. We strive to make school a place our students want to come, and often we have students that don't want to go home. Many live below the poverty level in uncertain circumstances. The students crave the love and safety they feel in our school. They also depend on our school to provide many of the only meals they eat. It is a joy to see their smiling faces each day followed by a hug and a story about what they did when they got home yesterday. For some of our students, school is the only place where there is someone to listen to them share their heart. We hope you will find our request one that you will want to fund as we strive to make our classroom feel like home for our students.
