I'm teaching 8th grade English Language Arts in a low-income area of Tempe, Arizona. My students have so much to offer and really do want to learn, but they have a tough time settling down and transitioning. We are currently implementing multiple strategies to engage the students and build both a respect and love for learning building-wide. These stools in my classroom will give students an alternative to sitting all day and will serve as an experiment into the use of seating options for children who are on the move -- all the time.
