My students are in dire need of science lab equipment to perform hands on experiments. These materials will allow my students to use a variety of tools and methods to conduct science inquiry. The new standards also require my students to use scientific practices during laboratory and outdoor investigations. My students will have the ability to comprehend these standards better by actual hands on investigation. My students will have an opportunity to use critical thinking and scientific problem solving to make informed decisions by analyzing, evaluating and perform repeated investigations to problem solve. My students will appreciate any help provided. Our first rule in science class is to always wear goggles, so of course we need safety goggles. My students will explore light reflection and refraction using flashlights and the lens and prism sets. The physical science activity lab along with the magnifying glasses will allow students to explore the different types of physical properties that exist in rocks. My students will be able to explore the outside world around them in my classroom with these science kits thanks to you!
