Thank you for looking at my page! I teach 6th grade reading and communication arts. I love to instill the love of reading in my classroom. I try to make it fun, while also comfortable! I let my kids read around the room every chance I get! This entails them picking out a comfy reading spot anywhere in my room. The problem is "comfy" in a standard classroom. I only have 5 bean bags and a few carpet samples for them to utilize. I have learned that the more comfortable they are, the better they read and stay focused on their reading and learning! I have 22 students in most of my classes. With a total of about 60 6th graders a day that I teach. Thank you for helping me help my students enjoy reading!
