I am putting together a classroom library for my scholar-athletes who are participating in study hall sessions for our basketball and baseball teams. We start every study hall session with 20 minutes of sustained silent reading, the young men on my team really appreciate the silent reading when they are able to find books which grab their attention. I currently have a small library I put together using my own resources. I'm happy to see my scholar-athletes recommend and discuss books with one another. We have developed a community of readers, by adding more books to our library the community will continue to grow.
