As a teacher materials and supplies are what makes a difference in the classroom. We need the essential supplies for projects in the class. As a kindergarten class we do a lot of hands on activities. Cutting, tracing and gluing are the essential parts of my students assignments. As a teacher, I spend ours cutting and tracing for my little ones. Daily I take home construction paper and sit with a pair of scissors cutting away. As the new year begins, my students, which are only 5, can barely write their name, let alone cut. Having the access to the "Cricut" will make assignments so much easier as I won't have to spend so much time cutting things out for my students and focusing more on planning the activities. I will be able to go above and beyond with art projects and let our creativity shine. Through out the year we send so many projects home for parents to see how creativity evolves in their children! There is nothing better than comparing projects from the beginning of the year and at the end. We want to show growth in our class. We want our students to shine. We want our kids to smile.
