We are in a rural, high-poverty district that is on a trimester schedule. Since students have more opportunities for electives, although we provide students with the necessary materials for core classes, engaging electives such as Multi-Media Lit. often lack funding. Since creating this elective course last year, it has had tremendously successful feedback, and students this year are eager to dive into high-interest literature and movies again. The students who are choosing to take this course are excited about the literature, the movies, and exploring the themes and how they relate to the world today.

About my class
