LittleBits can help introduce students to physical computing. Currently, students learn about physical computing using micro:bits. Higher level students have attempted to use Arduino Unos. However, students need more resources to support their learning about circuits, sensors, and coding physical computing programs. LittleBits can help introduce students to physical computing. LittleBits can give students the opportunity to focus their learning on coding for physical computing in order to make sensors interact with each other, before having to learn about how to properly connect wires and more complex programming. Thus, littleBits would provide students with the scaffolding and introduction they need to increase their understanding of microcontrollers. Plus, later in the year, littleBits can allow students to easily share what they have learned about physical computing during our end of the year showcase without having to deal with connecting wires during their presentations.
