With the school year starting up within the next couple of weeks, a lot of the paint was used last year leaving this year with hardly anything. The materials listed are some of the necessary essentials for an art classroom. We will be using an abundant amount of paint this year for projects including painting backdrops for the music play in the winter and spring, creating masks for various classroom performances, and creating hallway to show the students growth throughout the year. The arts help students to develop creative problem solving skills as well as develop motor skills, language skills, social skills with working together on murals or large pieces and decision making skills. Donations to this project will help shed creativity throughout the entire school! Starting with Acrylic paint in the art room,a paint brush in hand and a nice new smock/apron, I know that my students will enjoy and look forward to coming to art class every day. The arts help students focus and concentrate on a project. They will see their wonderful creations displayed in the hallways and be proud of what they have created and have pride in their work.
