These books will help my learners develop cross-curricular literacy skills as we use the nonfiction work of Steve Sheinkin to explore the American Revolution. Rather than simply memorizing dates and names, learners will be able to use Sheinkin's engaging narrative as a vehicle to engage with the true, personal stories of the people who led our nation to freedom. We will use this book as the basis for a book study on the war, analyzing the key people and events that shaped the foundation of our nation. By providing each learner with a copy of the book, you'll be supporting the facilitation of small group discussion, collaboration, and authentic learning.
