My students come from a very socio-economically deprived, culturally diverse community. However, students enter the classroom ready to give the best they have to offer each day. My school houses Pre-K - 5th grade with an enrollment of approximately 650 students. Of our population approximately 85% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We have a high population of students being raised by a single parent, grandparents, other family members, or by a foster parent. Even with the challenges, our staff greet students each day with positive attitudes and love.
