My students need STEM activities in the classroom. They are unable to attend the after school STEM programs offered by my school because they have a shortened day and must ride the bus to and from school. Items like the Maker kit and the Kind K'nex will allow them to work on building and critical thinking skills. Simple Machines and Gears! Gears! Gears! will help them problem solve and see how machines work. SNap Cubes and the Adding and Subtraction machines can help my students with the basic math skills that they struggle with.
STEM is an important aspect of all students' education! Special education students need multiple methods to learn simple concepts. STEM is one of those things that my students adore and are great at! I want to make sure they have every chance to explore!
My students love when we build in class. I have purchased Zoobs, building foam, blocks, and other building products for my classroom already but the students crave more! They love to build and often chose to do so over computer free time. I want to give them more options to chose from!
