My students will use their manipulatives in both science and math. They will be able to conduct hands-on science experiments on their own on a daily basis while using the Experiment of the Week Science Lab. They will also use the manipulatives during daily guided math and independent math centers. They will develop their own strategies for solving problems, foster their articulation about a problem, and allow students to work independently and cooperatively while using STEM sets. My students will also explore real world challenges that will ask them to plan, build and test their unique designs that integrates STEM with literacy when using the STEM bundle. My goal is for my students, have the opportunity to investigate, explore, build, create, and experiment with the proper, age appropriate, manipulative. It will empower my girls so they know they can do anything also and not be limited due to gender as they have been brought up this far. It will help all my kids know that can feel proud and in turn be able to vocalize and express not only how they invented something, but they will take this zest for ownership home and share with their family
