My third grade students missed a portion of their second grade year due to school closures during the national pandemic. The effect is that sadly many of my students have regressed academically. Through the use of these iPads, my students will have the opportunity to participate in research based remedial reading programs that have been adopted by our school system. Active participation in these programs will allow students to practice skills ultimately bridging gaps in their reading and language. I am requesting help acquiring these iPads because I want my students to have access to these beneficial programs. I have 38 students between two classes, and I only have 3 working iPads. Our school system does not have the tax funding to provide students with one to one technology. Having five additional iPads will help more students reach their literacy goals. I greatly appreciate your consideration to help these kids become successful lifelong learners.
