All of my students experience some kind of vision loss. These kids are in their home schools and I travel to each of them to work with them. The students that will benefit from this project are not able to see consistently because of the brain not interpreting visual items. This is a vision impairment that can be improved though by stimulating their vision and "turning the brain on" to the things they see. These students also have significant other disabilities. My students get excited about looking at things when they are bright and there is movement of the object they are looking at. They will giggle and laugh and sometimes try to reach out for the object.
