My students love to be active with anything we do in the classroom. They have a need to be able to move around, create, and participate in different ways during the day. That's what keeps them engaged, which leads to their learning of new information. They come from homes where it's hard for them to provide the necessary supplies needed in the class to fulfill the students' needs. Our school has 85% of our students getting free or reduced lunch and that includes the majority of my class. Our school tries to provide as much as they can, but there are still things that are needed to keep up with the new curriculum and with my students' personalities.
