Students main question in math class is: "Why do I need to learn this?" Through this project I would like to show my students the ways that they use math everyday without even knowing it, and that most professions use math as well. I want to be able to give my students real world examples that they can connect to and be interested in. These books would be used to facilitate conversations with the students about how what we are learning can be used in their life and why math matters for them. These books will also tie in literacy goals that our school is focusing on throughout the different content areas. With these resources I would like for my students to be able to research what their future career goal is to understand how they will use math later in life.
