No child is exactly alike with broadly differing interests and personalities, but the arts capture everyone's imagination. Especially in a Title 1 school, art class allows students to increase their quality of life through exposure to the arts and tangible learning of a variety of subjects. For most of our students this might be their only opportunity to experience the love of art. The art classroom is an exciting place to play with color and different mediums and to experiment with a new way of seeing. It is an honor that we are given the opportunity to reach beyond these students' current sphere of understanding through the sparking of their imagination within an endless world of creative possibilities. For instance, the arts can touch the visual, physical and emotional aspects of a child, while bringing all the senses to life.
