The Osmo system integrates technology in learning in an engaging manner that students gravitate towards. It fosters the natural creative nature of student exploration and learning while also developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. In having the system available in the classroom, my students would be given an opportunity to continue to develop and grow as natural learners. When paired with an iPad the system becomes a hand-on experience in which students have to manipulate physical objects to solve puzzles, work on phonics, and develop number sense. The Coding Game, adds an element of directional learning and number sense, while building concrete experiences in computer science coding, at a foundational level, just right for this age group of students. The Osmo system will allow my very creative students to experience how technology can continue to foster their learning while keeping them motivated and engaged.
