We are just starting a band program in 6th grade at our school which next year will include 7th graders and the year after that, 8th graders. Our students are renting or borrowing their own smaller instruments, but our classroom needs a bass drum! The percussionists will rotate parts between bells, snare drum and bass drum. All three parts are essential for our band. The bass drum will give our band the deep tones we need as the foundation of our sound. Our percussionists will be able to get experience with this instrument in the classroom that they cannot get at home.

About my class
