This HP laptop will enable me to give my students the remote learning experience they deserve and need. The laptop will help me to deliver 5 live lessons per day in subjects such reading, writing, and math, and phonics from my home to theirs. For example, with the use of the laptop I will be able to project interactive number learning games and videos from the Envisions Math website, Envisions Math being our math curriculum provider. My students will be able to watch an interactive video which models a skill and then allows children to answer questions, and use various virtual manipulatives such as two color counters to answer questions. The laptop will allow me to install applications for Google Classroom, such as Screencastify and Dualless, which allow me to make accommodations for diverse virtual learners, such as voice overs for Power Point presentations, and split screens for live meetings so I can project a book for my students and see my students at the same time. All of these accommodations are readily made from an HP laptop, and not a tablet, or telephone. When we return to the classroom, the laptop will be used to engage students in individual learning programs, such as Iready, an online program tailored to each child's unique learning needs. The use of the laptop will enable me to project music, movement, and play, videos, and teaching aids at the speed and efficiency needed for my special needs and general education students to follow along. I will be able to connect with students quickly to meet their needs in small groups and individually while I use applications such as Google Classroom and Google Meets.
