Hello, Iam a First grade Bilingual teacher at North Elementary school in Brentwood N.Y. My students are English Language Leaners. They are all eager to learn. Most of my students receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. They each have a unique way of learning. Some are hands on, others learn with explicit directions, while others are visual leaners. For some being in my classroom may be their first experience in a classroom setting. Every minute spent in the classroom I focus on their potential; because no matter what their previous learning experience was, they each bring some knowledge with them. I may not be able to control what happens outside the school environment; yet I am able to control the experience they receive at school inside the classroom.
