Through the use of items in the sensory room, students are able to meet their needs and then focus on academics. I will be able to have students go on a sensory break before learning a lesson so their focus is not on what their body is seeking and looking for a way to get. Students will be able to meet their own individual needs in order to prepare for the lesson for that child. Students will also be able to learn their own needs and how to meet them without adult intervention providing a sensory diet for every student.
