Our students are below grade level readers and are enrolled in our class because they care about their education. Students are creative, curious and capable of achieving great things. They are wonderful, and all they need is the opportunity to succeed. Parents are always appreciative of the support we show our students. We are a Title I school, and a majority of students receive free or reduced-price lunch as many are at or below poverty level. Our population is ethnically and economically diverse, and it is wonderful to teach students from various backgrounds. It is refreshing to see students from such diverse backgrounds become friends, sit in class together, eat lunch at the same table, and learn sportsmanship both in the classroom and through school sports.
