My middle school students crave the opportunity to explore science beyond the textbook. With each new lesson, one of the first things I can expect to hear is a question on whether there is a lab. In a small rural school, like ours, being able to provide them with the hands-on component of scientific learning can often be challenging. It is so exciting to watch their faces light up when I am able to tell them "yes." That's why it is so important to find the resources they need to make their desires become reality, and to help them see science as a way to the future.
