My students are some of the most under-served students in ward 8 of Washington, D.C (the poorest ward of the city). These students do all they can to overcome adversity. They show up before school and stay after school (sometimes for 2 hours) to make sure they are getting the assistance they need. Our school does its best to assist our students by offering after school programs to assist with homework as well as finding students private tutors when we can.
