We are an inner-city elementary school of over 1200 children, grades 1-6. Our students are truly amazing, all different, all unique. As a School Counselor, I have the pleasure of working with over 600 children, but one amazing second grade class is the highlight of my day. Diverse, unique, motivated, creative, smart and excited are just some ways to describe these amazing and heartwarming young people! A class of 21 students spends Fridays engaging in yoga and relaxation time. The children take pride in mastering poses and breaths, so much so that they jump out of their seats to volunteer to teach their classmates and teachers new moves!
