Throughout our last unit we have been learning about different natural disasters and their effects. As an end of the year project we are researching different natural disasters. They will present the information creatively on the boards being donated. They also need markers, glue, and paper. The interesting part about these projects is that they are using the different text structures (description, sequencing, compare/contrast, problem/solution, etc) to present their information. Not only are they extending their knowledge about natural disasters, but they are strengthening text structure skills. My students have pushed themselves this year and need to be rewarded with a fun and engaging project to end the year!
