I am a fourth grade teacher in our district. I have been teaching this grade level for six years (16 years total) and every year I love it more and more. We have a very diverse group of excited learners in my room. They are at an age where they still love to learn, love to be at school, and enjoy a wide variety of learning activities. My goal is to always keep that love for learning alive and keep them wanting to come back each day for more. I try to incorporate "old school" learning with "new age" learning. I like to do some of the activities I did as a kid and also love to include more hands-on activities and technology as well. One main focus besides academics is to learn how to be socially confident, play fairly and honestly, and to win and lose with grace. Social skills are just as important as academics in my room. We are all a team in here and look out for each other.
