My second graders love to learn, especially with technology. My students live in one of the worse zip codes of Detroit and many of them do not have computers at home. The addition of classroom Chromebooks will open up new worlds of learning to them. They will be able to do research and get many life skills that will keep them get engaged and life long learners. I am a teacher in a Title 1 school in Detroit, Michigan. My students get free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students come from low-income families so many of them do not have technology at home. I have some of the best students in the world. I know my students will be forever grateful for any help. They can't wait to use them during small group time. The use of the Chromebooks in my classroom will help my students develop math and reading skills while increasing their exposure to technology. My students make me so proud because they continue to show perseverance through all of the obstacles that they continue to face.
