This easel would make huge difference for my speech/language groups. They need visual supports such as anchor charts, story mapping, step by step instructions and writing examples to facilitate their comprehension. I support the curriculum for my students by incorporating the English Language Arts curriculum into our work. I also engage my special needs group in science experiments. I like to write the steps on a visual chart along with their predictions. Then after we do the experiment we write down the results and compare the results with what they had predicted. Currently I am teaching them by using chart paper clipped onto an old cardboard project board which sits on a chair! Having an actual easel on which to give my students visual supports would be so much more beneficial to their learning!
