Students are exposed to technology everyday. I am looking to add one Ipad to our classroom. It will provide students with activities that will be engaging outside of their chromebook use. Changing up the device they are using can be engaging and exciting as well as motivational. Now more than ever our students need great examples of how to grow socially and emotionally. I selected some books that will build up our classroom library and provide opportunities for students to read about how to be a good friend, telling the truth, and navigating their feelings. I have also selected some books that will bring more diversity to our library. Students must be able to see themselves in the classroom and feel accepted. I have selected books with specific students' needs in mind to ensure that they feel valued and can read books that they might relate to.
