I have a first grade classroom that consists of 22 students. This last week we were given 3 wobble cushions, 3 stability balls and 1 stand up movement desk. My students all want to use them. I would love to build a group of these into my classroom so they can all have a chance at sitting on these items. Studies show that these items in the classroom improve movement while the students are learning. This is good for a number of reasons: ~ Children are not receiving enough movement Studies are showing that the obesity rates amongst our young are increasing which also increases our health care costs ~ In the classroom, studies have shown that using these wobble chairs increases blood flow to the brain which is better for the brain function (and helps in learning materials).
