Our school and community is rural and located near a military post. Many of our students come from low-income households. Some students live in homes where extended family serve as their guardians, while many others students live in single-parent homes. Their exposure to historical arts will be limited throughout their educational careers. I hope to expand and deepen their historical background by the use of these artifacts. Time in a visually appealing, hands-on classroom provides education and enrichment. History is exciting, and our lessons and activities should introduce the love of learning to every child!
