Hello! Thank you for visiting our classroom page! We are excited to be integrating common core and Next Generation Science standards into our PK-2 Visual Art and Art History curriculum. Students are recognizing the similarities between the design process and the science inquiry process through hands on art materials experiments, engineering design challenges and developing prototypes from sketches and block models. This Fall we explored materials collected from nature to develop skills in the areas of contour line drawing, texture and form, develop diagrams and ponder the intricacies of nature-made "architecture" to inspire our own inventions. Help support our wildly motivating STEAM pursuits through the purchase of additional nature lab and maker space materials and support the innovative minds of the future! Thank you for your time, consideration and support!
