My students are struggling 8th graders with special needs who come from unfavorable home conditions. They were introduced to robotics and this hands-on learning and they love it. Students say to me that this sparks an interest in wanting to become an engineer and build machines for the future. This is so wonderful to hear since they don't really find hope in furthering their education because of their home life. My school is 100% free lunch and Title One. Unfortunately, we don't have the technology budget to order new computers/iPads for students to be able to have the tools to become more successful.
