My students are extraordinary people. We have students from all different backgrounds (culture, socioeconomic, race, etc.) and they all truly care about each other's well being. My students love to play sports, to craft, and to read. In my classroom specifically they love doing whiteboard problems in math and labs and activities in science. I work for an amazing school district at our intermediate school (grades 5 and 6). My school was built in the early 1970's so we do not have the most updated building. We have had to do a lot of renovating and re-wiring in order to add computer labs and school wide wifi. Due to my school being older we have to budget in money toward maintaining the building which lowers our technology budget. For my classroom, out of 25 students, I only have 6 chromebooks. To share those between 25 students is near impossible. Especially when our curriculum is through Discovery Education which is online.
