These books will continue to aid in building a diverse classroom library. My students really enjoy being read to, especially when we read stories that they can relate to. Each book that is placed in my classroom library is loved by both adults and students. With help of these new picture books, my students will build and strengthen the classroom community and promote self-regulation skills. Students will develop ethical reasoning through discussion, develop skills to build consistent expectations of good character, and develop and practice characteristics of caring and empathetic relationships while demonstrating respectful communication skills.
