During a normal school year, our students sit at tables with small groups where they can converse, work together, and learn from one another. Unfortunately, current guidelines recommend that students be distanced and have personal supplies that cannot be shared. With our current table situation, I know this will be difficult for kindergartners. While I absolutely love group work and collaborative learning, I also want to ensure I am keeping my students and their families as safe as possible. The beauty of these desks is that I can still put them back into groups once we are in the clear. They will continue to be used for years to come!
