I teach 8th grade Algebra I in a title one school where the community doesn't always support the school system. This creates students who don't feel supported, encouraged or motivated. I want them to know that our classroom is a community in itself and they are supported, encouraged and cared for within that environment. I want them to know that they are smarter than they give themselves credit for and are able to achieve more than their community expects them to. I want them to leave my classroom confident in their knowledge, ability and selves.

About my class
