My kids are truly amazing. They have a passion for learning unlike most groups of second graders. My students work hard to build each other up to be the very best they can be. In my classroom we do not laugh if someone makes a mistake or struggles with a concept. We work to learn from our mistakes and build our friend's confidence. This helps us have a classroom of students excited and ready to take risks! We are working daily on fluency and comprehension that will help us with the transition of learning to read to reading to learn. A great way to do this is through the use of technology so my students can hear fluent reading as well as practice fluent reading.
