Having their own lesson book will ensure a higher rate of success among my beginning band students. Frequent practice (especially early on) is essential to their growth as musicians. Every student will be able to take their own book home as they complete the required amount of practice each week. Knowing which exercises to work on each practice session at home gives the students the stability and guidance that they need when they are not with their entire lesson group. Having weekly assignments encourages them to practice until they master the exercises.
