We will be using interactive notebooks this year in both Language Arts and Social Studies, and we need colored paper, pencils, markers, and glue sticks. Although students will have the same cut-outs for various concepts, they also love to create their own pages of notes, with sketches and questions that reflect their own learning and thinking processes. The colors and shapes used in an interactive notebook help to make the content easily accessible and more importantly, memorable. Students know just where to turn to review vocabulary and important content, and the folded shapes help to both organize information and allow students to review effectively. We go through a lot of glue and paper, but it's worth it!
