My students are awesome! However, they are 11 year old kids who are entering middle school for the first time. They only have 15 minutes of "recess" time and are expected to sit still to learn. I cannot sit still, so how can I expect them to. I don't have children of my own, so these 120 students are MY kids. I do my best to make math fun and interesting by using kinesthetic learning where the students have to "do" to learn. They work in cooperative groups and I use hands on projects to get them interested in math and how it relates to the real world.
