My students are a very diverse group of children who need a lot of love and attention. Many have never experienced the simple things many of us take for granted. And I am the one to do so! They love to be creative and work with their hands. They are thirsty to read, write and experience the love of learning. I want my kids to be well mannered children who succeed!! My school is of lower economic status and is culturally diverse. Many parents are unable to help their child learn to read or write as they themselves are working 2-3 jobs. Children often times come to school, hungry, dirty or without the proper clothing for the day. The school is their safe place and it is my schools job to make them safe, happy, loved and give them the best education.
